Olivier Cleynen
[edit]My name is Olivier Cleynen and my homepage is at ariadacapo.net/. On Wikimedia projects, my interests include curating media and articles related to aviation, fluid mechanics, and infrastructure. My user page at Wikimedia Commons displays some of my media contributions over the years.
Conflicts of interest
[edit]Occasionally I bump into articles where conflicts of interest occur (e.g. Victor Krylov, Unfiltered Breathed In, Cobalt Co50 Valkyrie). In turn, I need to disclose my own potential conflicts; they are in the collapsible box below.
Potential conflicts
- I spent 7 years in a fluid mechanics research laboratory. My research focused on the fluid mechanics of low-impact hydraulic turbines and involved free-surface flows, in particular water wheels. It was primarily financed (ultimately) by the BMBF. I do not edit those topics, nor do I quote my work or the work of my former colleagues.
- As of 2022, I am a self-employed instructor in fluid mechanics at RealFluidMechanics.com.
- My former employers include a German university and several French engineering schools (écoles d’ingénieurs). I do not edit their articles. The lab I belonged to has a very wide range of activities in fluid mechanics (medical flows, fluid-structure interaction, combustion, multiphase flows, DNS, Lattice-Bolztmann approach). I do not quote the work of my former lab.
- I wrote a textbook on Engineering Thermodynamics in French, under a CC-by-sa license. In addition to my own, it features illustrations by many authors; all were ultimately published on Wikimedia Commons. Some find their way into Wikipedia. I never cite my work here.
