The Cab is an alternative rock band most notable for their combination of guitars and pianos. They are well-known on MySpace for their song "I'll Run", which has been listened to over 500,000 times[1] on that site alone. The band's first album, Whisper War will be released on April 29, 2008. They are touring with Cobra Starship, We The Kings, and Metro Station on the Really Really Ridiculously Good Looking Tour.
Biography
[edit]After posting a few demo songs on MySpace, Alex DeLeon and Cash Colligan hired Alex Johnson, Ian Crawford, and Alex Marshall to complete the current lineup. The band continued to post demos and play local shows, and gradually began to build a fanbase. They realized that they wanted to continue playing music, and they gave one of their recordings to Spencer Smith from Panic at the Disco. Within a few months, the band was signed to Fueled By Ramen records. The band was also recently featured on Blender Magazine’s “Hot List” and Alternative Press Magazine’s “Bands You Need To Know” issue. “We’re doing something different, and we can’t wait to get it out there to as many ears as possible,” says bassist Colligan. [2]
Reception
[edit]The band was featured in Alternative Press magazine in the "Bands You Need To Know" section. They were also on several independent music websites. [3][4]
