AvePoint’s primary platform, the DocAve Software Platform,[1] integrates more than 30 independently deployable modules for SharePoint backup and recovery, administration, replication, migration,[2] archiving, deployment management, reporting, storage optimization,[3] and content lifecycle management.[4] Modules function within a unified, browser-based interface and fully distributed architecture, but can also be purchased and deployed independently.
AvePoint’s DocAve for Salesforce solution has independently deployable modules for data protection and integration of customer relationship management data with SharePoint. Modules include DocAve Data Protector for Salesforce, DocAve Data Replicator for Salesforce, and DocAve Content Replicator for Salesforce.
AvePoint is a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner. The companies work together to maintain compatibility as new generations of SharePoint products are developed.[5] Additionally, AvePoint engages in original equipment manufacturer partnerships to leverage its technology through third-party software components. Through an OEM agreement with IBM, IBM Tivoli Storage Manager utilizes DocAve’s browser-based interface and backup and restore capabilities.[6] NetApp SnapManager for Microsoft SharePoint also features DocAve’s backup and restore capabilities through a private-label OEM agreement.[7]
AvePoint currently has more than 8,000 enterprise customers worldwide, including organizations in the legal, financial, production, cosmetic, manufacturing, mining,[8] health, government and defense, and academic industry verticals.
