The All Partners Access Network (APAN) is a web-based, unclassified non-dot-mil internet community accessible to the Department of Defense (DOD) and its mission partners without the constraints of traditionally closed and externally inaccessible DOD networks. APAN was developed to empower DOD customers and their mission partners to efficiently and effectively share and collaborate unclassified information between government and non-governmental organizations during crisis response operations, joint/multinational exercises, conferences and international events.
Through a variety of multimedia tools, APAN serves as the DOD enterprise Unclassified Information Sharing Service (UISS), and provides innovative unclassified information sharing solutions worldwide during Humanitarian Assistance/Disaster Relief (HA/DR) operations, exercises, training, conferences and other information sharing events.
