Bio

I was born in Plymouth, United Kingdom, and was raised as a Roman Catholic by my mother, with the consent of my father, who was brought up in the Church of England but had stopped attending church by the time I was born. During my teenage years I trained in the Korean martial art of Tae Kwon Do and attained the grade of Black Belt first dan. I learned basic meditation and breathing as part of the training.

At age 16 I was still active in Catholicism and became both a reader in Mass and a lay minister of the Eucharist. I also started to learn tarot and magic around the same time. I started a degree course at the University of East Anglia in Norwich shortly after my eighteenth birthday.

Writing

By age 23 I was initiated as a member of the Illuminates of Thanateros, and began work on a book, Kaos Hieroglyphica, which after circulating as a4 printed pages for a year or so between myself and a few friends, got published by WhIP (When Illuminated Press) in cooperation with Mandrake of Oxford in 2004.

WhIP (When Illuminated Press) published my second book, Chemical Serpents in 2013.

I write a blog , and contribute a lot to the wiki on kiamagic.com, a site which I webmaster.

The kiamagic.com wiki, the articles on my blog are all released on Creative Commons Attribution Share Alike licenses as part of my contribution, commitment and appreciation of Free Cultural Works.
