Anotra Caste
[edit]These are the "Malik" whose ancestors carry the term "Anotra" with their names.They are called anotra because of their ancestors.
Their Chain is from "Maliks".They mostly lived in various areas of Punjab like Ganji bar, Multan ,Mianwali(their nearby areas like bharion wala) and in even areas like sargodha[1]. After the era of Bhutto many of them were living in Minawali[2],a city of punjab.Their high population lives in ballo khel.If you visit Mianwali and the area of Ballo khel you will find a whole locality associated with them.Their whole community plays an important role in the political system of locality.A number of votes came from Anotra-Malik community, so to get political support from them is the main component for politicians to win from Ballo Khel.
Looking at the perspective of history many says that they belong to IndoPak subcontinent sub caste of Sainis ,who are the descendants of Rajputs. The sub caste of Sainis from which they belong may be was Annay(Anotra) but this information contradicts because they were not found in lower or interior Punjab but currently their most population is living in Punjab.

They were actually from Pakistan side of sub continent.Their main caste is Malik so they have marriages and associations within Maliks like Malik Awan. Their cousins and family members also belong to Awan community.[4]
