Kalimbeza rice project is a project that is found in the eastern side of katima mulilo.The rice project produces types of rice such as supper rice,irigar rice,angola rice,zau rice, blue bornnety rice. Since ever the project was established, many job opportunities has been created for the people around the area.The rice at the projec use to be cultivated in september and october,and by that time, many local people use to be hired for casual work.It is believed that the rice that will be produced from the project will not be for the Namibians only but for the entire people around the world..

What the project is aiming to do

The project is one of the successful project in our country. When the project was introduced, it used to produce rice only for local people but now the project is able to cultivate and produce tones and tone of rice to offer to the entire world. Currently now the rice that was produced from the last gathering is ready to be sold to the people around the world.The project has the courage that,in the years to come,Namibia as a developing country will be able to stand on its own when it comes to producing food that has been grown from its own soil..
