[edit]Characterisation
[edit]Speaking about Faith in the Writing for Walford documentary, Wemmy Ogunyankin, who wrote episode 4 of series 3 of E20, called Faith a "diva" and "loud and annoying [...] but you love [her] for it." Corey Montague-Sholay, who wrote episode 1 of series 3, called Faith "the girl at the back of the bus [who] everyone knows" and called her "brash, bright [and] breezy". Jeff Povey, a writer for EastEnders, said Faith is "the life and soul of the day" but "she has no real idea what she's saying [or] doing to people".
Ogunyankin explained that Faith needs love and affection and to be told that she is loved and looks beautiful even without makeup or despite what she is wearing.
Tameka Empson, narrating, explained Faith's motivation in Ogunyankin's episode, when there is no hot water, stating that Faith is "not the type of girl to put up with a cold shower". Ogunyankin said Faith would do "anything in her power" to avoid a cold shower, so goes to Fatboy, who is uninvolved in the situation, and plays on the fact that he has a crush on her, and because she is selfish, uses him for a hot shower, but feels bad afterwards because she has a conscience.
Ogunyankin explained that Faith had to go through a mistake like that to be able to tell herself that she is "better than this", "crazy, but a good person at the same time."
