The 2012–13 Second League of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina is the eightieth season of the Second League of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina since its original establishment and the thirteenth as the third tier football league of Bosnia and Herzegovina and a unified federation-wide league. The 2012–13 fixtures were announced in July 2012. It began on 17 August 2012 and will end on sometimes at the begin of June 2012; a winter break where no matches are played will be in effect between 18 November 2011 and 09 March 2012.[1]

Sixty clubs are participating in this session, divided in four geographical divisions (North, Center, West and South); the North, Center and South division will comprise 16 sides each, while the West division will be contested by 12 teams.

While the number of promoted teams to the higher tier is always the same, which is one team per division, the number of relegated teams to fourth-level league at the end of the season varies according to the number of teams which get relegated from First League of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The relegated teams are replaced by the champions of the fourth–level leagues that are associated with the geographical division.

A total of 55 teams will compete in three geographical divisions (North, West and South); the North and South circuits will comprise 18 sides each, while the West division was expanded to 19 teams.
