Andiloew originally hails from Germany and is currently living and studying in Cardiff, Wales, UK. He started his studies at the FH Gießen in Germany and then transferred to the University of Central Lancashire as part of the European Erasmus programme, where he graduated. Later then, he decided to continue his studies in the UK towards a Master's degree at the University of Cardiff.

Andiloew has been a member since late 2005 and contributing to Wikipedia since.

One of his main beliefs is, that knowledge's main problem is its intangibility. Due to its nature, it cannot be passed on to other people like any ordinary commodity. Therefore, he thinks it is important to share knowledge with as many people as possible to make sure it is not lost.

Knowledge must be free and available for everyone. It should not be restricted to certain groups of people, but shared with everyone instead. This is the main reason for Andiloew joining Wikipedia's team of contributors.
