User:Anatole-berthe
No longer having time to participate in this online encyclopedia project. I decided to leave it on "Sunday, September 29, 2013".
I initially joined it on "Monday, March 11, 2013" accorded to date of creation of this user page.
On "Friday, October 18, 2024" , I decided to rejoin the project for occasional interventions that will mainly consist of correcting some errors that I have seen.
If possible, I would also like to take care of publishing Swadesh lists or completing them.
I will eventually add user boxes to complete my profile.
Link to my wikidata page giving access to the pages of the different Wiki projects for which I created a page : https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/User:Anatole-berthe
I didn't created any article on Wikipedia in English or another project tied to Wikimedia in English language.
Why this nickname ?
[edit]"Anatole" and "Berthe" are a reference to two first letters of French telephonic alphabet.
To-do list in a non-specific order where wikis are ranked by priority (Mention only English language versions of projects) :
[edit]Wikipedia :
[edit]1. When it is possible for me. Update the list of successive mayors of a municipality for Wikipedia articles concerning municipalities. Follow the same principle for entities other than municipalities, such as the list of "Presidents of French Regional Councils" of a "Regional Council" on articles concerning French administrative regions, successive CEOs of a company, List of successive directors of an intelligence service, etc.
2.Translate the article in French to English about French telephonic alphabet. I think do so also for others telephonic alphabets.
3.At the date of "10/29/2024" when I'm writing these lines. This article mention constitutions for which there are no links.
4.When a reference is asked in an article. Find a reference and place it on the article.
5.For the list of defunct intelligence agencies , add countries flags and do the same for the list of intelligence agencies.
When a service is mentionned in a foreign language. Translate its name to English if I can do it and keep the name in original language.
When I know where to find informations. Add year of foundation and dissolution for the services not in existence today.
Many services are mentionned in red without a link to an article in a foreign language version of Wikipedia. When an article in English doesn't exist.
Think to add a link to Wikipedia in a foreign language if it does exist one.
6.For the article about Yabloko. For people mentionned for which there are not Wikipedia page in English. Create a link to wikipedia page in Russian if there are one.
7.For the article list of political parties in Russia. Think to continue to delete non-existent links for people mentionned not figuring in Wikidata because they haven't a page on Wikipedia in any language. Think to continue to add links to Wikipedia in Russian for people mentionned for which no entry in English is present and do the same for others entities.
When I know where to find the name in Russian of a party. Add it.
8.For the article congress of People's Deputies (Russia, 2022). Add links to Wikipedia in Russian for people mentionned for which no entry in English is present.
9.For the article List of law enforcement agencies. Translate names from local names to English when I can do it.
Wikisource:
[edit]1.Many "Resolutions of the United Nations Security Council" are mentioned without the text being present in Wikisource. It's necessary to think about adding these texts by copying and pasting , then formatting for Wikisource from official sources. Think also to "Resolutions of the United Nations General Assembly".
2.On this portal : https://en.wikisource.org/wiki/Portal:Constitutional_documents
We can make the next constatations. Many texts of constitutions are lacking even if they're mentionned at the time I'm writing these lines at the date of "10/29/2024" (Ex : The Bulgarian constitution of 1971 , Afghan constitution of 1987 , Togolese constitution of 1992).
Also , some constitutions aren't mentionned on the portal at the time I'm writing these lines at the date of "10/29/2024" (Ex : The constitutions of Syria before 2012 , There are a mention of only one constitution of Niger but this country had more constitutions in its history , Before the Montenegro of nowadays and Yugoslavia it did existed between 1910-1918 the Kingdom of Montenegro but its constitution isn't mentionned).
We can also see it is not systematically indicated when a constitution is a past constitution or a constitution in force. At the time I'm writing these lines at the date of "10/29/2024" it is indicated for Finland but not for others countries like Benin , Brazil , China etc...

Wikidata :
[edit]1. Do you know MatchID ? If so. Be aware that some people in this database also have a Wikidata record. So, we can compare the MatchID data based on the "Fichier des personnes décédés" (The French Register of deceased persons) and make corrections to "Wikidata" if necessary, such as an incorrect place of birth. However, you should know that the "Register of deceased persons" and therefore by extension MatchID can sometimes contain incorrect data. There is no point in checking the source (That is to say the vital records) since primary sources are not accepted for Wikidata to my knowledge.
2.Update Wikidata records that come to hand when I can enrich it. I'm talking about people who don't have MatchID records.
3.Wikidata doesn't contain all awards Denis Mukwege received in his life when I'm writing these lines. I'm talking only about those mentionned in the article about him on Anglophone version of Wikipedia and the Francophone version.
4.I'll have to verify some of my contributions to see if I can improve these.
