Omniculturalism

[edit]

Omniculturalism is a culture in the form of a world culture that has no discrimination against race or ethnicity. The concept of 'omniculturalism' is necessary for two reasons. First, because globalization can be a threat to the country's cultural identity and cultural practices and a means to force other countries to adopt the cultural methods of developed countries. Second, it is because the ideology of assimilationism and multiculturalism has failed in creating a culturally diverse and harmonious society omniculturalism is provided as an alternative policy to this.

The concept of omniculturalism is presented as an alternative to policy, referring to a society that accommodates migrants from various cultures and has a strong desire to maintain cultural identity and memory. According to the policy on omniculturalism, the socialization of young people in relation to intergroup relationships should be in two stages.

An imperative omniculturalism in the first stage forces us to prioritize human commonality, and must learn important scientifically established commonalities that characterize human beings in children. Psychological science plays an important role at this stage, especially in identifying basic human commonalities and answering questions. The first stage of omniculturalism is similar to the commonality of multiculturalism culture proposed by historians. In omniculturalism, however, while focusing on the universality of human behavior established by scientific research, multiculturalism focuses on the pattern of social interaction and the interaction-often the pattern that appears. It is rooted in the historical past.

During stage two of omniculturalism, group-based differences are introduced and the value of having diversity is emphasized. Priority, however, remains common to humans, and group-based differences are treated as secondary. In other words, people are ahead of ‘the kind of people’. The end result of omniculturalism is a society in which people are well aware of and prioritized of human commonalities, but leave room for the recognition of collective characteristics and further development.

Globalization has a huge impact on inter-group relationships, and is going on in an unprecedented way. It has unprecedented consequences, including massive, sudden contact between human groups. Without proper pre-adaptation, sudden cross-group contact sometimes results in rapid and deadly evolution along with terrorism, which occurs as a defense mechanism among some groups that threaten their collective identity. Some power minorities, such as Islamic fundamentalists, have even responded through terrorism. These reactions highlight the need to re-evaluate policies to manage diversity at national and global levels. Omniculturalism represents a realistic alternative policy based on the merits of assimilation and multiculturalism. Omniculturalism will increase research on policies for diversity management on intergroup relationships in the context of accelerating globalization.[1][2]
