Sandy Heribert is French-British TV journalist who currently works for French media channel France 2. A graduate of Institut supérieur du commerce de Paris, she began her career at EuroSport before later moving on to work for several other media outlets including C News, My Sports Channel, RTL TVI Voyage, France 4.
In both 2019 and 2021, she hosted the Ballon do'r ceremony along with former Ivorian footballer Didier Drogba.
Early life and education
[edit]Heribert was born to a British Mother and a Franco-Belgian Mother.[1] She holds masters degree in media marketing and a master in journalism degree from Institut supérieur du commerce de Paris. She also has a masters degree in journalism from CELSA Paris.
Career
[edit]Heribert began her career at EuroSport. She spent five years at the company serving as a presenter for several programs and events including covering the Sochi Olympics in 2014. In 2015, she began working as a freelancer. Within that period she worked for multiple french media outlets whilst covering and interviewing during the 2016 Rio Olympics. Immediately after that she earned a role to shoot a 2 season program the Ultimate Beastmaster on Netflix for two years, from 2016 to 2017.[1][2] The entertainment programme was produced by Sylvester Stallone. When she began working as a freelancer, she worked for over a year at C-News and My Sports Channel. Between 2016 to 2017, she moved to Belgium and worked as a presenter for “De quoi je me mèle”, a daily talk show on RTL TVI broadcast live from Brussels.[1]
In January 2017, Heribert was offered a show to host by production company Bo Travail to serve as their main host and presenter of their discovery programme - “Sur Les Alpes perchés”. She hosted the show which was a sixteen episode show of 26 minutes each that sought to discover the most emblematic resorts of the Alps in Europe and was broadcasted on the Voyage (French TV channel).[1][2]
In January 2018, she covered the 2018 Dakar Rally and later got an offer from “L’ensemble media”, All Media, as a their editor-in-chief of their new automotive magazine. From 2018 to 2019, she was the editor and presenter of societal talk show Sans se braquer Automoto La chaîne. In the early part September 2019, suceeded Margot Laffite as the presenter of the V6 show on the same channel for 2 years.[1][3][4]
In March 2019, she was a commentator for the Eurovision Song Contest for France 4 alongside Garou. She was also joined André Manoukian as a commentator for the semi-finals on France 4 in Tel Aviv, Israel and also for the finals alongside Stéphane Bern and André Manoukian on France 2.[5][6]
Since September 2019, she began hosting “la Course des champions” (the Champions Race) on France 2 alongside Teddy Riner and Olivier Minne at the Stade de France.[7][8][3] Heribert has covered several international sporting events including the 2019 Women’s World Cup, 2016 UEFA Euro, 2015 Rugby World Cup, 2016 Rugby VI Nations.[1][2][3]
In December 2019, she co-host the 2019 Ballon d’Or ceremony alongside Ivorian former footballer Didier Drogba.[9][10] In 2020, she was the red carpet for interviews and live backstage host at the Monte Carlo Gala for planetary health of the Albert II of Monaco Foundation.[1] In September 2019, she participated in the Fort Boyard (game show).[11][12] On 29 November 2021, she co-hosted the 2021 Ballon d'Or along with Didier Drogba again, which Messi won the men's award for the seventh record time whilst Alexia Putellas won the Ballon d'Or Féminin.[13][14][15]

covering the war and she declared that she wanted to be a field reporter and report such stories. Heribert speaks French and English fluently.
