Kagithalapuru is a small village in Manubolu mandal of Gudur Taluk of Sri Potti Sriramulu Nellore district of Andhra Pradesh state of India. It is at geo coordinates 79.26O E 13.19O N and at an altitude of 279 m above sea-level[1]. A mapping done in 1967 by Sri B.Kuppuswamy Pillai and Sri A.V Subbaiah earmarked a 'Peerla Chavidi', a small fresh tank by name ' Manchineella Kunta' and five ponds namely Vinayaka Cheruvu, Ganga Cheruvu, Nalla Cheruvu, Ulla Cheruvu & Utla Cheruvu. Vinayaka Cheruvu spreads from North-east to South-east of Village. Ganga Cheruvu is present in North-east of Village. Nalla Cheruvu andd Manchineella Kunta are located in North North-West of Village, former being far than later, to Village. Utla and Vulla Cheruvu are towards North-West of Village[2]
