About me

[edit]

I appreciate you taking the time to visit my user page. My name is Amber, but I prefer the name Eve. I have many hobbies, such as art, longboarding, craft making, animation, and more. I enjoy learning new things, working hard, and setting goals for myself. Both reading and writing are among my favorite pastimes. For as long as I can remember, I have been writing, either making books or writing for school. My favorite part of writing is that I can infuse the material with my imagination or use it in a number of different ways. All of my siblings used to write, make, and act out their own stories when I was a child. That somehow influenced me to be who I am today, someone who enjoys creating stories for fun. One day I plan to animate one of my stories and publish it online, as animation is one of my biggest passions. I've been watching and admiring animation for years. I've also been researching how to become one for years as well. A dream of mine is to become an animator, and I am determined to work hard to achieve that goal. Writing and creativity are important parts of my family, and I am excited to branch out into the world and hope that it will lead to success in my life.

My Wikipedia Intrests

[edit]

Wikipedia has been used by me for as long as I can remember. Whether it was for finding information or learning about new things. I would definitely like to work on information that I have researched before and am passionate about if I were to work here for a long time. As a result, I am already familiar with everything about animation, and I would love to share that knowledge with others who visit this site for information. Whether it be about a famous Disney animator, a forgotten animation studio, or a composer who worked on a Disney movie. There so many things people dont know, like for instance. The Little Mermaid was based on a real person as a reference for the animation.[1] I would love to research more about the career I love, and learn about legends in the field and how they have impacted the animation industry. In the future, I hope to be able to help others with similar passions by providing information from credible sources so they can learn more or use it for their own purposes.

Article Evaluation

[edit]

For years, I've been interested in animation. A large part of animation has been 3D animation in recent years. You can create anything using 3D technology. From making building structures to animating, to even making video games. To make animation more realistic, you can simulate graphics to create environments. You can manipulate and make it look the way you want it to. Real-time computer graphics are used in the process of rendering things such as lighting or fire so that it happens in real-time. I visited the article on Wikipedia and found three aspects of it worth commenting on: the structure of the details, the lack of important citations, and not enough details given on subtopics.

Lack of Citations

[edit]

I found that this article contained a lot of useful information as I read it. People could learn a great deal about graphic design from this information. However, most of the information is unreliable. Citations aren't given, even at the start of the article, they give information that isn't backed up. Since very few sources are cited, this article is hard to trust.

Timeline

[edit]

There are a lot of references to past or current programs or techniques in the article, but they don't elaborate on when they started. A person coming to this article would not know when it was edited, so they would not know when this or that happened. In the article, they don't present a good time base to show users when one graphics card was superior to another. The section "History" was likely added to aid in the timeline, but it only contains basic information without any source, making it useless. However, they provide links to other articles about the history of computer animation and computer graphics.

Not enough information on subtopics

[edit]

Section "Rendering pipeline" tries to give good information about certain definitions, but towards the end, it becomes less and less detailed. There isn't much about the subtopic in the small sentences and even worse, there are no sources to verify the information.

Conclusion

[edit]

In itself, the article is not that bad. If more sources of the information were provided, it would be extremely good for those looking for the information. It would be helpful if they could provide a better timeline and more detailed information on certain sections. For others who are trying to learn more about Real-time computer graphics, the article could be a great source of information if more care was provided.
