Patrick di Santo is known for minimalism, and lateral thinking, when conveying a message often pushing the boundaries of content. Considered a virtuoso of space and media[14]

Nine 1992

Born Patrick Rocco di Santo (/ɪˈkni/; on July 9, 1965) and raised in a small dairy farming community. Moving to New York City in 1985, traveling extensively over the next decade perfecting media skills under the moniker 9. Releasing, two singles off the EP “Wax” on Vertigo Records. By 1989 di Santo signed to Mercury/PolyGram Records releasing the singles I know what I want and Celebration. In 1993 Alright is released a brutal, industrial collage of music and film reminiscent of the musique concrète, in the 1950’s particularly Karlheinz Stockhausen. di Santo credits the influence of Ryuichi Sakamoto, Rene Laloux, Bobby Hebb, Kristina Kubsich, Carla Scaletti, and Brian Eno.

The success of the early releases continued commercial relationships with number9ine.com and IDP. Gaining 9, CMJ artist of the Year for Alright while promoting "The Sound Odyssey Tour". Alright is included in six compilations enjoying crossover airplay on alternative, electronic, punk, trance, nostalgia core, and pop stations. Myth the soundtrack to Savon de Marseille; part I and part II secures di Santo as a media visionary. In the Daze, Dazed and "versus the Orb off the album "because" are collaborations with the band The Orb and continue to enjoy club success.

di Santo is noted as an influential, independent talent in media, credited for being one of the few commercial minimalists. One of the founding members of the international nostalgia core phenomenon Case Trick with CR Reid in 2017. 9 has released 126 recordings worldwide, 56 prints, 26 Human factors and ergonomics, 16 paintings, presented 6 instillation exhibits, 11 films, 8 albums, 5 tours, 4 screen plays, and 2 retrospectives.
