Summary of characteristics of a target article
[edit]The goal of this project will be to make a significant contribution to a stub article to transform it into a B or GA quality article. An article of stub quality generally contains little content, is very basic, and needs a lot of work. B class articles are almost at 'good article' quality, but may lack supporting materials to appease a technical audience. Finally, a GA class article is considered to be useful to most readers with no obvious problems, and is considered high quality. [1]
Unit 5 Assignment: Summarizing PubMed Articles
[edit]Bacillus subtilis cells form spores in environments where essential nutrients have been depleted.[2] Once sporulation has taken place, the spores can exist in very harsh conditions with little to no nutrients. As a result, B. subtilis sporulation has been problematic in both food and health industries.[3] SporeWeb, a database platform, has been developed to compile known data about the sporulation mechanism.[3] The database is updated as new knowledge becomes available, and should be used as a tool to increase understanding of the B. subtilis sporulation cycle.[3]
