Public Administration is a college program that is primarily focused on (as the term "administration" suggests) the management of the government, organizations, and human and material resources, in order to ensure the delivery of quality services to the people or the "public". In short, Public Administration is the administering of the different entities and existing resources of the society for the general welfare.

Why take up Public Administration? Some significant reasons why you should take up Public Administration are, first, this keeps you aware of what is happening nationally and even internationally. So basically, it makes you a citizen that is highly aware of social problems and issues. Secondly, it does not only make you aware of social issues and problems, it also makes you aware and knowledgeable about how the government works, about the law, and about your rights as an individual. Public administration covers up certain areas of law which is why, it is also considered a pre-law course or program. Lastly, it makes you a person who is knowledgeable enough to make informed choices that will heavily impact the society, which then makes you a responsible citizen or member of the society.
