Just here to add my little bits of information to the Wikipedia efforts.
Note that I am not a Ph.D. or the like (I'm not a real doctor, in other words) - it's just the handle I have been using on the Internet for a few years to distinguish myself from the other "Alucards" out there.
I believe that Wikipedia could easily become more reliable. There is already a lot of information that people can not rely upon because it has no citations, and nobody is checking the facts added by other editors. If we can avoid the random changes caused by vandals, plus double-checking content, and adding citations, then Wikipedia will become a much better online resource.
Wikipedia is supposed to be a collaborative project. It surprises and disappoints me therefore that there are so many individuals who are less than civil to fellow editors at the drop of a hat, and that this is tolerated by admins using the defence that they otherwise do good work. There should be no excuse for showing other editors a lack of respect, in my opinion. (And no, this is not aimed at any editor in particular - there are far too many examples of it around). Consensus is not a majority vote.
