Tellapadu, widely pronounced as "Tellabadu" is a village of Doddavaram panchayat in Maddipadu Mandal of Prakasam Dist., Andhra Pradesh, INDIA but has a Sub-Postoffice and a ZP High School.

Eminent industrialists, senior public/private sector employees hailing from here include: 1) (Late) Sri Velagapudi Ramakrishna (KCP group, former ICS officer). It is believed that Tellapadu was the birthplace of his father (original surname: Katragadda) who was then adopted by close relatives near Repalle (Guntur dist.). 2) Sri Panda Punnaiah (Jt.MD, Nava Bharat Ventures Ltd., formerly called Nava Bharat Ferro Alloys; Chairman, Beardsell Ltd. and Chairman, Prakasam Sugars)

The hamlet is purportedly, largely made up of migrants from the former Repalle Taluk in Guntur Dist. The caste composition of the main hamlet is mainly of Kammas, a large chunk of whom have migrated to urban areas. Other castes include Brahmins; Vaisyas ;professional castes like washermen, barbers etc.; dalits and others. The latter half have their own quarters towards the hamlet's boundary.
