Raja Syed Mohammad Hayat
He was the first Raja of Tanda.
Emperor Farukh Siyyar gave the estate of Tanda to Raja Syed Mohammad Hayat in 1713 A.D, Raja Syed Mohammad Hayat was a Scholar and a Notable in Emperor's Court in Delhi along with his paternal Uncle Syed Mohammad Waris. Syed Mohammad Waris (R.A) was a Saint and a Fiqh Scholar. They belong to the Abidi line of Syeds.

Tanda was celebrated for its woven cotton goods, which are said to rival those of Dacca. In 1881, at the account of Mr. William Wilson Hunter in Imperial Gazette of India it is quoted that Tanda weavers sell at from 10 to 15 paisa per piece. The total value of the annual export of cloth is about ^15,000.
