Early Life and Education

Sayed Al-Mahmud was born on November 17, 1999, in Jhenaidah, Bangladesh. He spent his early years in Rajshahi, where he completed his primary and secondary education, excelling academically. Sayed later attended the University of Chittagong, where he pursued a Bachelor of Arts in Islamic Studies. In 2023, he began his Master’s degree at the same institution, specializing in Islamic Studies and Military Science.

University Involvement and Activities

During his time at the University of Chittagong, Sayed actively engaged in multiple extracurricular organizations and roles, including:

  • Bangladesh National Cadet Corps (BNCC): Joined the Naval Wing in 2018, participating in six camps, including the President's Parade and Operation Safeguard. He achieved the rank of Cadet Under Officer (CUO), the highest rank within BNCC.
  • Rover Scouts: Member since 2019, attended camps and training focused on life skills and survival.
  • Social Work and Blood Donation: Serving as Vice President of the blood donation organization Kanika and editor of Raktim Magazine, Sayed has organized and participated in blood drives and donated blood 18 times.

  • Deputy Country Coordinator: For the Workplace Skills Development Academy, New Zealand.
  • YouthMappers: Member of this global organization where he engaged in mapping projects in collaboration with West Virginia University.
  • Achievements: Sayed was awarded the Rajshahi Mayor Medal and was recognized for his performance in a national shooting competition organized by the Bangladesh Firing Federation. He also served as the Country Host at the Istanbul Model United Nations in Turkey.

Sayed is fluent in Bengali (mother tongue), with proficiency in English, Arabic, and Urdu. His skills include MS Office, WordPress, web development, and design tools such as Canva and Photoshop.
