Adult Learners Edits:

https://www.sreb.org/general-information/who-adult-learner- added new source, with new information at the criteria

Deleted sentences that made no sense and tried to make the narrative less opinionated and essay-like.

Added more of the summary in the adult learner as well as cited it.

SUMMARY OF ARTICLE: My contributions to the article

[edit]

An adult learner (North America) or mature learner (UK) (sometimes also called adult student, returning adult, and adult returner) is a person who is 25 years and up who is involved in forms of learning. Adult learners fall in a specific criteria of being experienced, and do not have the high school diploma. Many of the adult learners go back to school to finish of a degree, or earn a new one.[1]

Malcolm Knowles's work distinguished adult learners as distinct from adolescent and child learners in his principle of androgyny.[2] He established 5 assumptions about the adult learner. This included self-concept, adult learner experience, readiness to learn, orientation to learning, and motivation to learning. [1]

Note: I also deleted sections of the article, and tried to revise them but they ended up being deleted because they were too opinion oriented. Therefore I tried adding more to the summary of the article along with added a couple of sentences to the article to make it more informative. Along there is nothing that I could do to make it any more informative than it already is. My classmates let me know that I should add more to the summary so I did just that. Hopefully this will be enough.
