These images have been made with Inkscape. They are entirely my own work. I am an amateur cartographer, although I am capable of a lot more than what you see here. If you want to hire me to map for you, email me an offer.
I have made many general maps for Wikipedia. I only really include my favourites here.
This is a suburban map of Redcliffe in Queensland, Australia. It includes waterways and major roads.
Redcliffe is a small satellite city of Brisbane, with a population of about 50,000 people. The city is known for being the first European settlement in the state (or colony) of Queensland. The settlement was moved to Brisbane due to a lack of fresh water.
My parents live in Redcliffe and browse Wikipedia regularly. I haven't told them I wrote up on Redcliffe, though, or supplied maps :)
This is a political map of Bougainville Province, Papua New Guinea. This map was an unsuccessful featured picture candidate, but I think its cool all the same.
Bougainville has been mirred with hostility for much of it's existence as a province or district of Papua New Guinea. The civil war is officially over there, and has resulted in Bougainville being a self governing territory within Papua New Guinea.
This is a political map of Oro Province, Papua New Guinea.
This is a political map of New Ireland Province, Papua New Guinea.
One of the Wikipedians I most respect, Wantok, lives in New Ireland part time. I am sure he had a smile on his face the first time he saw this map completed.
This is a political map of Eastern Highlands Province, Papua New Guinea.
Western Province, Papua New Guinea
This is a political map of Western Province, Papua New Guinea.
The Western Province was my home for about ten years. I will always remember it as unspoiled beauty, despite the environmental concerns that existed there.
This is a historical map of Argentina and South America.
