Follow-up Question: Do you receive compensation or other direct material benefits for your contributions?
If yes: You must conspicuously disclose that you are paid to advocate a certain position, and the cause(s), individual(s) or organization(s) on whose behalf you are being paid.
If no: Disclosure is not required but is considered a gesture of goodwill and respect for other editors.
If no: Edit freely, following established Wikipedia policies.
In the absence of strong evidence to the contrary, an editor who does not disclose a position of advocacy should be assumed not to have one.
Conformance to the restrictions above is on the honor system; if that honor is found to have been breached then the offender is highly likely to face sanctions.
