  Virtual simulation represent a specific category of simulation that utilizes simulation equipment to create a stimulated world for the user.virtual simulation allows users to interact with the virtual world.These world operates on platforms of integrated software and hardware components.In this manner,the system can accept input from the user like body tracking,voice or sound recognition and physical controllers to produce output to the user.Virtual simulation uses aforementioned models of interactions to produce a sense of immersion for the user.
  Simulation is an approximate imitation of the operation of a process or system that represent operation over time.Simulation in other words can be the production of a computer model of something especially for the purpose of study.it is used in many context as in technology for performance tuning or optimizing,safety engineering,testing, training education and video games.often computer experiments are used with scientific modelling of natural or human systems to gain insight into their functioning as in ergonomics. Simulation can be used to show eventual real effects of alternative conditions and courses of action.
  When we take a course like integrated science,in some cases,there is the need for students to have the vivid view and idea of what is been taught.In a classroom where topics such as digestion(digestive system),respiration(respiratory system),reproduction(reproductive system)and the likes are been taught,real organs involved cannot be obtained.A simulation software comes in handy here. these software  together with some technological hardware components provide a first-hand experience and an all round(3D) view of all these internal and external organs and how they function.This helps the students to have a better understanding of how these organs are ;this enhances teaching and learning of the topic.
 Again,outside the normal school and classroom setting,simulation software and hardware components are also used in some other teaching and learning.Institutions like the driving schools initially novice drivers were taken out on playing fields during the night to begin their driving skills before taken on highways.But due to the introduction of simulation software and hardware component,there are simulated driving software and hardware component which initiates the real time simulation on the highways and these institutions are utilizing them.This reduces the tendency of encountering errors and accidents.It helps learners to be efficient within a short period.
  All the above listed circumstances and many more are available for simulation which helps in teaching and learning in both the traditional school-classroom setting and outside the school environment.
