News from the Spanish Wikipedia
On October 4, 2007, the Spanish-language Wikipedia reached 11,950,000 edits, becoming the 5th Wikipedia by number of edits, right after the English, German, French, and Japanese-language Wikipedias, according to WikiStats. The Spanish Wikipedia has now been edited more than the Italian-language Wikipedia, which was ranked number 5 prior to this accomplishment.
Also on October 4, 2007, the Spanish Wikipedia's number of Good Articles (Artículos Buenos) surpassed, for the first time in their history, the number of Featured Articles (Artículos destacados). The Spanish Wikipedia now has 485 Good Articles and 479 featured Articles.
