Afridi Bharti hails from an esteemed family of traditional musicians in Rajasthan, continuing an 8-generation legacy of musical excellence. A new and fresh generation talent, Afridi is a multi-instrumentalist, mastering the kartal and tabla. He is learning the tabla tradition under the guidance of his legendary grandfather, Ustad Rafeek Mohammed, a renowned figure in tabla music. As the son of Rahis Bharti, the celebrated director of the Dhoad Gypsies of Rajasthan, Afridi carries forward his family’s rich musical heritage.
