I am a Christian. That being the case I have a lot of personal commentary on a lot of the articles on Wikipedia, but I do not want to be imposing or violate what belongs to someone else so I forbear to say what I would. This page, however is mine, and I would address an article that I myself wrote:
Invisible Children is a movie about the effects of Uganda's civil war on children. I mentioned the so-called Lord's Resistance Army on that page and in the Military use of children page. I hate it when evil is done in the name of God. Uganda's civil war was started by a woman who founded the erroneously named Holy Spirit Movement. I believe that she was influenced by demons, and know that it wasn't done by the Holy Ghost.
The Old Testament wars were symbols of the spiritual war which we fight today, and Jesus died for all, making just bloodshed impossible. Hence, I am a total pacifist. As such I know that God would never tell a woman to take up arms against her government. The rebels' innability to topple the Ugandan government is further evidence that it was not ordained by God.
So I wrote what I wrote because I had compassion on the children, but though I used the name "Lord's Resistance Army" I say that the lord those people honor is not the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Pray for those who misrepresent God and for those to whom he is misrepresented. As for the people of Uganda (and Sudan has been involved, too. How much it is now I don't know) they need prayer as well.
