James Harold Napier (21 May 1865 - 28 October 1939) was a Scottish painter.[1][2]
Life

His father was James Brand Napier (c. 1829 - 1897), an artist originally from Ireland.
His mother was Mary Campbell Smith (c. 1840 - 1884) from Edinburgh. James and Mary married in 1864 in Canongate, Edinburgh.
James Harold Napier was born on 21 May 1865 in Edinburgh.
He married Jane Isabella Walker in Edinburgh in 1895.

[edit]He died on 28 October 1939 at Sydenham Railway Station of natural causes. He had suffered from a heart condition for many years. His usual address was 21 Holyoake Terrace in Sevenoaks, Kent. His estate was worth £767, 10 shillings and 4 pence.[5]
