Mary Morris (27 August 1873 - 19 February 1951) was a Scottish painter.[1][2]
Life
[edit]Her father was Campbell Brisbane Morris (19 April 1847 - 21 May 1924), a steamship engineer from Seamill in Ayrshire. For a time he then ran a calico printing business but this was sequestrated in 1899.[3]
Her mother was Jane Smith Wilson. Campbell and Jane married on 20 April 1871 at 20 Laurence Place, Partick, Glasgow.
Mary Morris was born on 27 August 1873 at Primrose Place, Paisley Road, Govan.[4][5]
