John Maclauchlan Milne (12 August 1885 - 28 October 1957) was a Scottish painter.[1][2]
Life
[edit]His father was the artist Joseph Milne (1 February 1859 - 10 January 1911) from Edinburgh.[3]
His mother was Janet Bonthron Thomson (27 November 1860 - 10 February 1931) from Wemyss in Fife. Joseph and Janet married on 298 October 1884 in Buckhaven, Fife.
John Maclauchlan Milne was born on 12 August 1855.[4]
He married Elizabeth Livingstone MacKellar on 8 August 1946 at the Manse, Corrie, on the Isle of Arran.[5]
His uncle was the artist William Watt Milne.[6]

[edit]He died on 28 October 1957 at 48 The Esplanade, Greenock. His usual address was at High Corrie on the Isle of Arran. The funeral service was at Woodside Crematorium in Paisley on 30 October 1957.[7]
