Charles Strachan Mills (16 August 1859 - 13 January 1901) was a Scottish painter.[1][2] He was also a shipping clerk and collector for the Perth and London Shipping Company.[3]

His father was James Smith Mills (11 February 1829 - 7 May 1917), a writer (lawyer) and messenger at arms from Dundee.

His mother was Rebecca Donald (born c. 1832) from Dundee. James and Rebecca married on 15 November 1853 in Arbroath, Angus.

Charles Strachan Mills was born on 16 August 1859 in Dundee.[8][9]

He died at Marsbank, Tayport, Fife on 13 January 1901.[10][11] He was buried at the Western Cemetery in Dundee on 16 January 1901.[12]
