James Brash Miller (4 July 1813 - 14 December 1881) was a Scottish painter.[1]

His father was John Miller.

His mother was Elizabeth Cleland. John and Elizabeth married 31 December 1809 in Airdrie.

James Brash Miller was born on 4 July 1813 in Bathgate, West Lothian.[6][7]

He married the artist Elizabeth Macgibbon (c. 1826 - 2 June 1909) from Edinburgh. They married on 6 March 1861 in Edinburgh.[8]

He died on 14 December 1881 in Edinburgh.[9] He was buried on 19 December 1881 in Warriston cemetery, Edinburgh.[10]
