James Miller (16 July 1841 - 2 November 1920) was a Scottish painter.[1][2]

His father was Matthew Miller (c. 1816)
His mother was Barbara Archibald (c. 1809 - 1899).[3] Matthew and Barbara married on 29 September 1835 in Edinburgh.
James Miller was born on 16 July 1841.[4][5]
He married Margaret (born c. 1834) from Edinburgh.
