Walter Brodie Melrose (4 July 1861 - 25 December 1897) was a Scottish painter.[1][2]

His father was George Melrose (19 August 1825 - 12 February 1907), a railway station master from Coldstream.
His mother was Janet Brodie (c. 1828 - 28 December 1874) from Kelso.
Walter Brodie Melrose was born on 4 July 1861 in Edinburgh.[4][5]

[edit]He died on 25 December 1897 at Winnock Brae, Currie on Christmas morning.[6] He is buried alongside with brother George in Currie kirkyard.[7]
