Edwin Martin (10 February 1874 - 17 April 1941) was a Scottish painter.[1][2]
Life
[edit]His father was James Martin (c. 1836 - 17 November 1907), a grocer and merchant from Forfar.[3]
His mother was Helen Soutar (12 August 1835 - 1902) from Bendochy in Perthshire. James and Helen married on 26 June 1860 in Coupar Angus in Angus.

Edwin Martin was born in Forfar on 10 February 1874.[6][7]
He married Nellie Anderson Whitson.[8]

[edit]He died on 17 April 1941 at his sister's home Lilybank in Forfar.[9][10]
He was buried in Newmonthill Cemetery in Forfar.[11]
