Robert Russell MacNee (7 July 1861 - 22 April 1952) was a Scottish painter.[1][2]
Life
[edit]His father was Robert Russell MacNee [Snr] (c. 1812 - 1899), a block cutter from Linlithgow.[3]
His mother was Georgina MacLachlan (born c. 1821 - 1918) from England. Robert [Snr] and Georgina married on 17 December 1848 in Kirkintilloch, East Dunbartonshire.
Robert Russell Macnee was born on 7 July 1861 in Milngavie, East Dunbartonshire.
He married Mary Lawson Thoms (11 November 1871 - 7 August 1949) from Kilmacolm, Renfrewshire. They married in 1895 in Invergowrie.

[edit]He died on 22 April 1952 at 26 Kerrington Crescent, Barnhill in Broughty Ferry.[4]
