Chica Macnab (c. 1889 - 19 October 1980) was a Scottish painter.[1][2] WIKIPEDIA!

Life

Her father was John Macnab (born c. 1851) from Glasgow. He became an official of the Hong Kong and Shanghai Bank.

Her mother was Jessie Mabel Shannan (born c. 1863) from Glasgow. John and Jessie married in Kinning Park, Glasgow in 1886.

Ada Jane Macnab, known as Chica, was born c. 1889 in Iliolo, Philippines.[3]

The family returned to Scotland in 1894 and settled in Kilmacolm.

Her brother was the artist Iain Macnab (21 October 1890 – 24 December 1967).

She married James Ian Munro (25 December 1895 - 28 July 1968) from Denny, Stirlingshire. They married on 6 September 1927 in Glasgow.

They had a daughter Sheila.

She died on 19 October 1980 in Victoria Infimary, Glasgow. The funeral was on 22 October at Linn crematorium.[4]
