William McLauchlan (17 November 1871 - 6 December 1964) was a Scottish painter and carpet designer.[1]
Life

His father was James McLauchlan (born 1834), a potter from Prestonpans.
His mother was Cecilia Forsyth (11 July 1836 - 1 December 1910) from Glasgow. James and Cecilia married on 19 June 1857 in Glasgow.
William McLauchlan was born on 17 November 1871 in Bridgeton, Glasgow and brought up in Paisley.
He married Mary Scobie Skinner of Inverbay, Invergowrie, Perthshire at Inverbay on 22 July 1912.
They had a daughter Cecilia.
