William Mackay (21 September 1866 - March 1951) was a Scottish painter.[1]

His father was John Geddes Mackay (29 March 1829 - 19 March 1901), a wool carpet weaver from Hilton, Aberdeen.
His mother was Isabella Singer (c. 1831 - 8 October 1896) from Aberdeenshire. John and Isabella married on 17 May 1860 at Old Machar, Aberdeen.
William Mackay was born on 21 September 1866 in Aberdeen.
He married Margaret Bisset (died 19 June 1961). [6] They married in Kinloss in 1905.
