John Douglas Macgregor (13 October 1892 - 10 September 1951) was a Scottish painter.[1][2]
Life
[edit]His father was David Macgregor (c.1865 - 17 February 1936), a painter from St. Andrews.
His mother was Elizabeth Crichton (5 February 1867 - 22 June 1952) from Edinburgh. David and Elizabeth married in 1891 in Leith, Edinburgh.
John Douglas Macgregor was born on 13 October 1892 in St. Andrews.
He married Williamina Anderson (1901 - 4 September 1996) from Fife. They married on 14 July 1927 in Anstruther, Fife.

Death
[edit]He died suddenly at his home at 57 Queensborough Gardens in Hyndland, Glasgow on 10 September 1951.[4] He is buried in St. Andrews Eastern Cemetery.[5]
