Andrew MacGeorge (13 May 1810 - 4 September 1891) was a Scottish painter, historian and lawyer.[1][2]
Life
[edit]His father was Andrew MacGeorge [Snr] (11 September 1774 - 2 October 1857) from Port Glasgow. He was the precentor for the Sheriff of Glasgow.
His mother was Elizabeth Jackson (19 April 1783 - 5 August 1850), known as Bess. Andrew [Snr] and Bess married on 27 October 1805 in Dumfries.
Andrew MacGeorge was born on 13 May 1810 in Glasgow. He was baptised on 5 June 1810 in Glasgow.
He married Margaret Pollock (24 June 1821 - 22 June 1911) from Whitehall, outside Glasgow. They married on 1 June 1841 in Glasgow.

[edit]He died on 4 September 1891 at Glenarn, Rhu near Helensburgh. The value of his estate at his death was £14,800, 8 shillings and 8 pence.[3]
