James Anderson McGeoch (1910 - 24 May 1973) was a Scottish painter and sculptor.[1][2]
Life
[edit]His father was George McGeoch.
His mother was Clara Jane Clark Anderson (21 December 1877 - 29 October 1948) from Paisley. George and Clara married on 22 October 1901 in Paisley.
James Anderson McGeoch was born in Paisley in 1913.[3]
His brother George Anderson McGeoch (1913 - 2003) was also a sculptor.
James stayed with his sister Clara Anderson McGeoch at 53 Underwood Road for many years. Clara died there on 15 January 1969.[4]

[edit]He died on 24 May 1973 at the Royal Infirmary in Glasgow. The funeral was the next day at Woodside Crematorium, Paisley.[6]
His usual address was at 87 Southwold Road, Ralston.
