William MacDuff (12 May 1824 - 18 July 1881) was a Scottish painter.[1][2]

Life

His father was Alexander MacDuff of Bonhard (18 December 1792 - 5 February 1842), born at Springfield in Scone, Perthshire.

His mother was Margaret Catherine Ross (1 October 1795 - 29 October 1793) from Perth, daughter of John Ross of Balgersho. They married on 21 March 1816.

William MacDuff was born on 12 May 1824 at Springfield, Scone, Perthshire. He was baptised on 5 August 1824.[3]

He married Isobel Campbell Thomson (c. 1837 - 9 July 1866), the daughter of Robert Craig Thomson of Jamaica. They married at Kensington, London on 27 June 1865.

After her death he remarried to Arabella Filisberta Da Silva Lima (1832 - 15 December 1921). They married on 30 November 1871 in London.

He died on 18 July 1881 in Hambledon, Surrey, England.[4]
