John Blake Macdonald (24 May 1829 - 20 December 1901) was a Scottish painter.[1][2]
Life
[edit]His father was James Macdonald (born c. 1794), a wood merchant from Cromdale, Invernessshire.
His mother was Mary Blake (born c. 1793) from Cullen in Banffshire. James and Mary married on 9 June 1814 in Cullen.[3]
John Blake Macdonald was born on 24 May 1829 in Boharm in Speyside.[4] He was baptised on 19 June 1829.

[edit]He died on 20 December 1901 in Edinburgh.[7] He was buried on 23 December 1901.
