Madge MacBrayne (21 November 1883 - 25 January 1949) was a Scottish painter.[1][2]
Life
[edit]Her father was David MacBrayne (6 August 1851 - 9 June 1907), an insurance broker from Glasgow. His uncle was David MacBrayne, the steamship owner.
Her mother was Amelia Catherine Owen (c. 1851 - 1 November 1936) from Edinburgh. David and Amelia married on 31 October 1882 in Rome, Italy.
Amelia Madeline MacBrayne, known as Madge, was born on 21 November 1883 at 12 Oakfield Terrace, Hillhead, Glasgow.[3]
