John Lochhead (12 July 1866 - 13 June 1921) was a Scottish painter.[1][2]
Life
[edit]His father was John Lochhead [Snr] (18 November 1833 - 1875), a bookseller and publisher from Glasgow.
Her mother was Annie McFarlane (7 November 1836 - 1916) from Glasgow. John [Snr] and Annie married on 29 June 1854 in Glasgow.
John McEwan Lochhead was born in Glasgow on 12 July 1866.
He married Mary Buchanan Macnee (29 June 1869 - 6 October 1942) from Glasgow. She was a daughter of the artist Sir Daniel Macnee. They married on 14 December 1893 in Clifton near Bristol, England.
