Helen Stirling Johnston (28 September 1888 - 9 January 1931) was a Scottish painter.
Life
[edit]Her father was William Brown Johnston (1862 - 23 February 1931), a commercial traveller from Shotts in Lanarkshire.
Her mother was Annie Shearer (13 February 1861 - 25 June 1934) from Dunipace in Stirlingshire. William and Annie married in 1888 in Kelvin, Glasgow.
Helen Stirling Johnston was born at 10 Portland Terrace in Troon on 28 September 1888 at 6:30am.[1]

[edit]She died on 9 January 1931 at a nursing home in Glasgow.[2] Her usual address then was at 4 Hillhead Street. She was buried in Glasgow's Western Necropolis.[3] The value of her estate was given as £315, 12 shillings and 2 pence.[4]
