William Hunter (28 December 1890 - 29 March 1967) was a Scottish painter.[1][2]
Life
[edit]His father was William Hunter [Snr] (25 April 1849 - 8 October 1911), a dairyman from Muirkirk in Ayrshire.
His mother was Jane Kay (born 1847) from Muirkirk. William [Snr] and Jane married in 1877 in Muirkirk.
William Hunter was born on 28 December 1890 in Milton, Glasgow.[3]
He married Leonara McGregor Wilson in 1921 in Rothesay.

[edit]He died at 10:55pm on 29 March 1967 in Glasgow's Western Infirmary hospital. His usual residence was 18 Iain Road in Bearsden, East Dunbartonshire. The cause of death was noted as renal failure and bronchopneumonia.[6]
